I paid 200.00 to pull this one out of a field and started builing it from ground up. thesamba.com is the best for any V-Dub owner, Great forum , and parts/cars out the ass !!!

the only real thing i can tell you is , the older ones you get the parts will be harder to find and alot more expensive. But if you do find one , check the pan of the car to make its not rusted completely out. That will cost you the most money. Other than the wireing , there really easy to work on and easy to find parts.
